Hello there person currently reading this I’m Tyler Domer, I currently live in Houston Texas as I attend college full time and when I’m not a pick up as many shifts at my job as possible! Ive always had a passion for writing, from poetry, short fiction, and more recently music reviews/essays. I prefer Independent or Alternative music, but I also enjoy folk, experimental, and most forms of techno. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing in concert Tv on the Radio/Broken Social Scene, St. Vincent, Dum Dum Girls/Beach House/Vampire Weekend, and The Wallflowers (This was Ben’s and mine first concert together! and our last =/)!

Shortly after Ben read a book called “Our Band Could be Your Life” Ben wanted to make his own impact in the music world, and asked me to help! At first he tried to create a fanzine where him and I would write articles and get as many people we knew to write and distribute as well. This however did not work out as we planned. After reading the book for myself I came to the conclusion that during the time of the bands that the book follows fanzines and college radio worked because it was one of the only if not the only available resources to them. I proposed we create a blog, the internet is the biggest and most widely used media outlet in the world! This is not the first time we have tried to write a blog though, the first attempt ended in failure. We were both in high school and did little to actually work on the blog. We also attempted internet radio but lets not talk about it…

Anyways that brings us to now, Ben has had a bit of a head start but I should be writing 1-2 times a week for here on out! Would love to hear your feedback or cool ideas or even music I should listen to/review so please feel free to contact me at mrnovember@sunkentreasuresmusic.com
